Lines at Sea World San Antonio? |
Travel Info My family and I are going to Sea World San Antonio this June. What sort of lines for the shows and best rides can I expect? Do they offer a line pass sort of thing and if they do should we buy it? Travel Tips We went to Sea World last October. We got there right when the park opened and did not have to wait in line for rides long. There are only 2 rides. A very fast, tall, loopy roller coaster called the Kraken and a more subdued family friendly coaster on water called Atlantis. If you get a show schedule when you enter the park and get to the shows about 30 minutes early, you can pretty much sit wherever you want. There is an area geared toward kids between 4-8 that have kiddie roller coasters and little rides. You can also feed stingrays and pet dolphins without much wait. Bring plenty of sunscreen and carry empty water bottles that you can refill at water fountains throughout the day to keep hydrated and save money. Others They do not sell anything like a 'front of the line' pass...but the lines arent that bad. there are a few rides which you will probably wait maybe 20 min and that is pushing it. I was there last summer and rode the main roller coaster and when the ride was over went right through the line in 5 min to get back on... I have been there with my son and Granddaughter and we didn't have any problem with lines. Your problem isn't going to be lines your problem is that you can't see or do everything in one day. I will add on thing that no one ever asks but when we get a little bit older we wonder, Is this a place that I will enjoy myself? The answer is yes I am a senior citizen and I don't ride the rides any more but the shows are great and just sitting around is quite nice, my granddaughter on the other hand really likes all of the rides but she is 14 yrs old and my great nephew has been going with his Grandma since he was in a stroller and he loves it, I guess what I am really trying to say is that it is very family friendly I'm with the others...I've never had a problem with lines at Sea World except on a couple of the water slides which I'm not really into anyway. The main thing is to get there early. Shows are scheduled throughout the day and you really need to get there early enough to plan your day around the showtimes. With season passes, we can go back if we miss something. People on vacation that will be there for a day won't have that luxury. I do recommend bringing sunscreen and probably a change of clothes in the car. The saltwater from some of the shows can get a little crusty if you sit too close. It's not too far to walk out to the car if you need to change or even get a drink or food from your cooler. |
