All serious advice welcome. thanx, jaime Travel Tips If you happen to be near New Braunfels stop by the little town of Gruene..You will love it...There is a beautiful river which provides you with tubing if you wish to float all day..There are little friendly shops, and the Gristmill and The river grill to eat at....The river is running at a good clip now and open for that water ride..The Schlittebaun is nearby for a full day of fun too. Stop at Landa park and view the beautiful scenery....Go up to Canyon Lake about 15 min from there...Go on a trip through the Hill country to the wineries, Fredericksberg, wildseed farm, and in aug they have lots of peaches and watermelons...Today we just went to the weiner dog races near austin which was really fun..San Antonio,,the riverwalk, the alamo, sea world, six flags over texas. Too congested for me..but goto the riverwalk..Texas is full of antique shops and good places to eat...There beef is good..and people are friendly.. Others are you coming through the Dallas/Fort Worth area? north of san antonio there is a town...new braunfels. go to the river!!! west texas...try big bend this site http://www.traveltex.com/tours/tourcateg... seems to be fairly informative. Read some of the recommendations, then do separate searches for the areas that interest you. There are two very convenient to Sea World in San Antonio. On located on Ellison Dr. About a half of a mile from the entrance to Sea World and the other On Potranco about 2 miles out side of 1604 Del Rio Amistad the Catfish are huge. |
