Have you ever been to San Antonio ? |
Travel Info I swore I was the only Gringo in town when I went, besides all the tourist traps like the Alamo and Riverwalk. It might as well be part of Mexico Travel Tips I'm not even gonna read what everyone else said if I want to keep my sanity today... The majority of people in SA are Hispanics...at least that's who's out and about. And the reason that all the tourist ads show white folks so that the rest of the world won't be too scared to come into our little city. But SA is known for the Mexican flavor. We have things like Fiesta and El Mercado that happen downtown...but there are also areas on the North side like La Cantera (latin name, yeah) that have all the upper end shops like Target and Walmart....kidding..they have Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Burberry, etc... And the downtown area is notorious for being like a little piece of Mexican heritage...but that's when you're too scared to walk away from the mall area. There are great wine and jazz bars just west of the mall and there's SouthTown that's full of art and more diverse people. But-- if you don't like Mexicans, dude, stay where you are. Cuz, even the white people know more Spanish than some of the native Hispanics. Others I've never been.... Well, it was part of Mexico at one time. Whats wrong with that? San Antonio is a great town with a very large Mexican population that provide some of the best restaurants in America. Don't like it? Get the hell on out! Yes the hispanic culture is BIG there! I live in san antonio and the spanish culture is what makes san antonio special. Hey, how about not coming back to our city??? |
