Travel Info The United States wanted to annex the Republic of Texas into the United States, and did so even though it was never ratified by the people of Texas some may feel like this should be listed as a Political question, but when we spreak of the Alamo we are talking the Republic of Texas and then statehood, and it is darn interesting if you are going to see the Alamo.
