I need ideas for family dinner for my 5year old.? |
Travel Info something exciting and not pizza. something like rainforest cafe. where there is a neat atomosphere and adult food. Travel Tips Really depends on how casual/or fancy you want to go. Willies on 281 between Brookhollow & Thousand Oaks has a huge sandbox for the kids, decent food (mainly burgers, but salads and some chicken) and serve beer and wine and a limited bar, they do have margaritas. Magic Time Machine is good, but they can't get up and run around like some other places. Joe's Crabshack (not the one on the riverwalk), their is one at The Quarry on 281 & Basse and then another on NW Loop 410. they have small paygrounds for the kids and the food is okay too. You didn't say if you are visiting or if you live here, so I don't know if you are limited on how far you can travel. North on 281 after 1604 there is a place called Beefy's Backyard, good burgers, cold beer and a giant playscape for the kids. My daughter just reminded me of Blue Cactus Cafe on Wetmore Rd. just north of Thousand Oaks. Good food, Fri & Sat. evening music and a great play area for kids. Hope these help. Source(s): Live here, have kids. Other Travel Tips Have you tried Max and Ermas for kids it has a Sunday bar and for adults great food. Soup plantation is a really cool place for kids. Everything is healthy but it's a buffet so they can nibble on lots of different things. It can be really hard to get them to try new things, but now is the time! Force them if you have to but having a healthy diet now will determine how long they live and how healthy they are. So although you might seem like the bad guy for making them eat healthy things, it's something that has to be done anyways! My Mom was lucky, i've always liked fruits and vegtables. I would suggest letting them still have their favorite foods too, but keep them as treats and save them for special occasions. Then they can still have them, but they will be even better since it's not every day. Food is about maintaining your health, not just eating something cause it tastes good. itsjustlife.com How does your question relate to "Travel"? Our daughter loves the Magic Time Machine. All the waitstaff wear costumes and can be very silly. I personally ask them to tone it down before we're seated. Our daughter also dresses in a costume; usually a Disney princess. Hope this helps. :) |
