What are some good family restaurants in san antonio that have great food with great prices.? |
Travel Info i am planning a trip to san antonio with my family which consist of my husband, me, and my three kids. i need some great advice about restaurants. We are planning on doing sea world and sixflags one day and 2 days to schiltterbahn in new braunsfels out of the 7 nights we are staying. does anyone have any great advice to help me with a budget. Travel Tips It really depends on where you're staying. If you're staying downtown, then most places will be a little more expensive than usual because they're geared towards tourists. There are some decent restaurants around the SouthTown area which is just, duh, south of downtown. They have some good local cuisine like China Latina or Rosarios (which have decent lunch specials). If you're staying out by the airport, you can go down to Hwy 281 (northbound) and go up to the Bitters exit to Alamo Cafe. It's the bigger, nicer one versus downtown. That's probably your best bet in that area for something in that area. Other places around the airport are either chain restaurants or not too family friendly. Others There are all types of restaurant along the central River Walk and if you are in San Antonio you have to walk it and take the tour boat ride. I like the Mexican food served on the River. Places like Cafe Ole , the famed Casa Rio Mexican Restaurant or the Alamo Cafe. All great places to try. http://www.mytravelscenes.com http://www.sanantoniocvb.com/visitors/th... One great place we've been to is 'Mi Tierra' at the Marketplace in downtown. They also have great tacos and gorditas for about a $1.25 or so. You can enjoy live music and various shops while you're there. |
