Travel Info During the summer months? Travel Tips Any day works, just know that it's in the middle of town. So you might want to think about avoiding it during rush hours during week. Source(s): Texan Other Travel Tips Sunday Monday I wouldn't visit in the summer because of how hot and humid it might be, except today was actually rather nice and fresh. If you are going to come in the summer, I would recommend before it got any hotter like the first week of June. You could also make it for the Texas Folklife Festival held downtown at the Hemisphere Park. Its a huge festival june 8-10 with hundreds of booths selling foods from all sorts of cultures and lots of music and dance from various cultures also. Its very fun! The river is under the city and the basement of this hotel it where everything is. Restraunts, night life, it's awesome as long as you don't go in the July heat like I did. Even at night you can't breathe there. It's horrible. There is a great karoke bar there though. Sunday morning........ that way you will avoid the bad drivers and the Alamo won't be that crowded |
