Where is a good place to stay in San Antonio if I want to go to Six Flags, Schlitterbahn, and Sea World? |
Travel Info I am on a budget o about $130 per night hotel fare. I have 2 adults and 3 kids going, and we are flying from Chicago to San Antonio. Do you think we will need a rental car, or are there shuttles offered to all the local attractions? Travel Tips I think you will need to rent a car. And as far as hotel is concerned, get any hotel around the Loop 1604 area. That highway can get you to either one of these parks with no hassle. Others Try to find a hotel on the river walk---it is so gorgeous there. Years ago there were budget hotels around that area. You can read about each hotel (and see more choices), ask questions, view pics, check rooms/rates & book online at the links above. You'll probably want a rental car, as relying on local shuttles isn't always convenient -- and the sites you want to visit aren't necessarily going to be serviced by the same place. I was searching because I wanted to get you a good hotel for a good price. Now, there is th Drury Plaza Hotel in San Antonio, and it sits right on the riverwalk, the room for one night is $124.99. And my ABSOLUTE favorite is the Crowne Plaza Hotel next to the Airport. It's, to what I believe, is $107 a night (USD) and it's absolutely beautiful: http://www.orbitz.com/app/shared/pagedef...
