San antonios is not that mixed in west side how come? |
Travel Info in west side i have found that the neighborhoods are 93.24 % hispanic and 2.54 % black on utsa.edu map so that means that the west side area neighborhoods are primarily hispanic so most of these hispanics are of mexican orgin i live in the west side its no that mixed i see mostly hispanics this is true? Travel Tips Well, it is San Antonio, you are going to see a lot of hispanic people here...the west side is where Lackland AFB is....I would guess it is more diverse there than any other side of town. Others To you, if that's what you see.That's how people want to live. Why do you live there? That ratio is pretty much correct that mean if you count 100 people and you'll find about 2 blacks. Hispanics tend to be a close knit culture. When you have a large community it tends to have the food, music and clothing of that culture too which create somewhat of a comfort level. The kids like to live close to their parents and family. Most Hispanics are of Mexican origin. San Antonio is different from a lot of other cities in that you will find many are 4th and 5th generation Hispanics that grew up in the area with and are bilingual in Spanish and English. Those from Spain or Brazil are not considered to be of Mexican origin but are of Latin (Latino) decent. I'm not sure if this gives you the answer to your question. Many people come from Mexico and hang out on the westside and feel completely at home. It's like being in Mexico. I used to date a very intelligent young man from the west side of town. He is born in America but grew up in Mexico. I went to Our Lady of the Lake University, very close to his home. He is absolutely the smartest man I have ever met. Unfortunately, we are also so very different. I am first generation America of German decent, and our ethnicities are just way too different. We remained good friends because we understand the whole concept of the ethnicities of our people. I think it's awesome San Antonio latinos stick together like they do! La Familia is awesome! |
