I was in S.A. this weekend, I no longer live there and every time i visit the city seems to be growing by leaps and bounds. Please tell me what is new and up and coming in S.A.

You don't say how long you have been away so I will tell like you like have been gone for more than a year or two. The far west side has grown faster the a speeding bullet and more powerful that a locomotive, and darn near able to jump buildings with a single bound. New and under construction now are (Sea World area) several banks, HEB Plus, Super Wal-mart, Kohl's, several fast food places, hospital, several colleges, Microsoft service center, CTI, several golf courses, several strip malls, Doctor's, Dentist's, insurance, , Lowe's, Pet's Mart Office Supply, This list goes on and on, and I haven't even started talking about the 60,000 new homes. I wasn't raised in San Antonio but have lived here for many years and I am literally amazed at the growth, drive from 151 to 471 on Potranco you will also be amazed at how this once not to long ago cow pasture is rapidly becoming a metro center, as they would say in Star Track, "at warp speed."

Or couse, our Spurs won the NBA championship. THAT'S the biggest thing happening right now. A huge celebration is happening tonight in the Alamodome. There's a lot of road construction. Our traffic is beginning to stink. Toyota just built a plant on the Southwest side of town. More jobs and development in that part of town. Which is good. ummm...that's about all I can think of right now!
The spurs just won so the city is still drunk with excitement.
