Sea World - San Antonio and the Omni? |
Travel Info We are driving from Houston to San Antonio Thursday and Friday of Next week. We booked two nights at the Omni, and they included two two-day passes to Sea World, plus a goodie bag. We will need to buy a child's two-day ticket to Sea World. Anyone know of any discount codes or specials we can use to get this for less than face value? Any sugestions for a place to eat near Sea World so we don;t have to pay park prices? Would prefer something in the $6 to $10 per person range. Maybe a local (not a chain) burger joint? Any suggestions on a kid-friendly restaurant on the River for dinner one night? Again, something reasonably priced. Also, we were thinking about stopping at Natural Bridge Caverns on the way home. Is it "stroller-friendly"? Anyone know about pricing for that? Anything else you'd recommend for kids? We will only be there a couple of days. Thanks!!! Travel Tips 1. I personnely dont think that the resturaunts on the riverwalk are really kid friendly. or cheap fo the matter. but how about this restuarant. Boudro's, San Antonio Restaurant 421 E. Commerce St. San Antonio, TX 78205 210-224-8484 4. Also, we were thinking about stopping at Natural Bridge Caverns on the way home. Is it "stroller-friendly"? Anyone know about pricing for that? The pricing for children (3-11) is $9.95 for the normal tour. For an adult ( 12 and up) it costs $16.95, and of course it goes up for the bigger things. i personnely think think that its not really stroller friendly, because the pathways slant down and are somtimes slippery. But they do have other attractions such as the watchtower rockwall and zipline. it costs 6.95 to climb, and 8.95 to do the zipline. They also have a "mining company", its good for little kids. they get to "mine" for rocks. 5. Anything else you'd recommend for kids? We will only be there a couple of days. ripleys beleive it or not museum, wax mueseum. Source(s): S.A. resident, and a kid Other Travel Tips The best place to look for this type of discounts is SearchAllDeals. Just start with a search term like "Sea World San Antonio" and "Omni San Antonio". omni: http://www.searchalldeals.com/results.ht... sea world: http://www.searchalldeals.com/results.ht... .Check HEB grocery they sell sea world tickets at a slight discount. McDonald's or Rudy's BBQ (famous place) River walk-Amazon Rain Forrest Restaurant on the river. Popular place. Don't go to any caverns right now they are all flooded because of the rain and are part of the aquifer which is almost full. of course they wont tell you that. you buy your tickets they take you to the entrance and "this is as far as we go the rest is flooded." no refunds been there, done that! Ebay usually has discount coupons you can get for around .99 or so. Rudy's Bar B Q is very close to Sea World, but there are also some restaurants down Hwy 151 near Loop 410 that are very affordable. Most of the restaurants on the River walk are kid friendly because of all the tourists we get. You can also check with the concierge at the Omni, they can give you info on Natural Bridge Caverns. Splashtown is here in town and the kids will love it. |
