Travel Info Will my letter still arrive at there AFB there in lackland if I spelled it Lakeland? Travel Tips All of the answers are pretty good, but you could have left off the Lakeland/Lackland and just have the zip code and it would go to Lackland Air Force Base. The first answer was not as correct, but had the right idea. When we sort mail it is by zip code not by (location) name. Name is a good back up, but it takes longer. If you you didn't use a return address and the address on the out side was a faulty address the the item would go to the dead letter office, it would be then opened and from the content they would either try to figure out who you are trying to send it to and if not they will try to figure out where to return it to. Source(s): Postal Service X 17.5 years Other Travel Tips If you have a zip code, then it should be fine. That is a backup thing. It will take a little longer, but so long as the zip is correct, it should arrive. Unless there is a Lakeland... well, it should still go, but again, much longer. If for some reason it doesn't, they will do a return to sender, and it will come back to you. Unless you failed to write your address. Yes, as long as the zip code's correct. If your address and zip code are correct. |
