Best affordable place to live in southern california. i would like somewhere close to the water.? |

Travel Tips The going rates in the ocean beach area of San Diego for a studio apartment start around $850, and average is $950-$1,000 a month, with l bedroom and 2 bedroom about $100 - $200 more. Other Travel Tips Anything with a view of the water is going to be expensive. I don't know if you are visiting, renting or buying, and where you are coming from, but So Cal is not very affordable. If I had to suggest something to you, I would say Del Mar, Solana Beach or Ocean Beach. It depends on your age, too, as some communities are younger and others are more family oriented. Provide more info and I'd be happy to help. moved to San Diego from NY 10 years ago. I lived in San Diego for a short time, and also Los Angeles for a while as well. Basically, you'll be either near the ocean OR someplace affordable. Unfortunately, the closer to the ocean, the more expensive the community will be. Well I know the closer you live to the water the more expensive it is rent or buying. if you live by yourself you can get a cheap Carlsbad home if you are renting it probably is like 800 dollars or so maybe 1000 the most for a 1 bedroom. Try going on to www.craigslist.org and look at rentals, for buying try a realitor like Howard Hanna or Remax. (if you have those down there i never been to San Diego but I have close family) |
