Travel Info What are some good family activities to do while vacationing in San Diego? Also, are there any good family resorts to stay at? Travel Tips Sea World The World Famous San Diego Zoo Wild Animal Park Balboa Park and its many museums (skip the Museum of Man, though) Legoland (young kids, I hear it's not fun for pre-teens) ComiCon (July) Cabrillo National Monument ($5 per car!) La Jolla Cove Coronado (walk through the Hotel Del and surrounding shops) Old Towne SD Seaport Village Old Pirate Ship downtown near the docks Don't forget PB, MB, OB, and IB! Paradise Point is a place my family has stayed a few different times. Very nice for a family. Lots of things for kids to do. Different pools, beach, golf, restaurants. We live in San Diego. It still felt like a vacation staying here. http://www.paradisepoint.com/ Legoland (for younger kids), Wild Animal Park (both in North County), Seaworld, Zoo, the Marine Corps Recruit Depot. Disneyland is only an hour away. La Jolla is a nice area to stay but pricey. Del Mar and Carlsbad are to the north and are also safe bets. |
