Speeding Fine in San Diego?

My husband got a speeding ticket approx 18 years ago in San Diego.
He was travelling to catch a plane back to the UK at the time and cannot remember if he paid the fine after returning to the UK.

He is concerned that when we visit Florida in a few weeks time he may be refused entry.

A user advised me earlier that these sort of offences are written off in California within 4 yrs.

Does anyone know who we can contact to find out if it was paid? Or if indeed it will have been written off by now?

Try emailing your question to the California Highway Patrol and the San Diego police department. They should be able to tell if the ticket is still outstanding or if you have to worry about it after so long.

search for public records from the county where the ticket was issued , ur husbands name may pop up!
I would call the Department of Motor Vehicles in the state of CA and see if they have a record of whether it was paid or not most states do not waive fines after so many years and now a days they share with states so basically say you lived in Massachusetts and you got a ticket visiting another state and you do not pay it you can lose your driving privledges in the state that you live in...I would not chance taking the long trip and finding out that you have an issue or chance getting pulled over in Florida and getting arrested...it is better to be safe than sorry...BTW what part of Florida are you visiting?...definately call the DMV in CA, you should be able to search it on the web.
check the San Diego county traffic court's web site.. and call.. but if you want additional info... I do a lot of work obtaining records at the traffic court... you know where to reach me...
