Could someone please name all of the public beaches in San Diego with campsites?

Travel Tips
Very few beaches allow camping over-night. There are a few parts around Mission Bay and there are a couple of beaches up by Carlsbad and Encinitas that have public campgrounds adjacent to the beach, but no camping on the actual beach.

San Elijo state beach is one. Also San Onofre just north of San Diego by Camp Pendleton also has campsites adjacent to the beach.

The reason why none of the other beaches allow it is to reduce the number of homeless people living there. If you've been around Mission Bay park and Pacific beach there are lots of homeless in those areas. If they allowed anyone to camp, then the homeless folks would set up permanent camp and scare tourists away. The city will never allow that. Source(s): http://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=647...

Other Travel Tips
I have looked up a couple of sites and I think the one below gives a good choice. You can check out alot of different beaches on this one.

I'm pretty sure you can only camp in the bay- Mission Bay i know you cant camp on the beaches lived here my whole life and i think that's the only place
Mission Bay is campland, used to be you could pitch your tent on fiesta island, was not along after Jo-Ann the icon homeless lady was raped down in MB by the tents there that they cracked down on all camping and overnight RVs. . There are a multitude of places to camp on the beach in SD LOL but most are not public anymore. Go a bit north and you will find my fave Refugio in Goleta.
