Best family resorts in San Diego?

Looking to take my family to San Diego to go to Seaworld and Lego Land and looking for a nice family resort with good pools, access to beach hopefully. Thanks!

Paradise Point is nice, it is on Mission Bay where they have beaches, although I don't recommend swimming in Mission Bay, there is a lot of boat traffic and the water tastes and smells like gasoline during the summer. You can rent jetskis there too. It is just minutes from Pacific Beach, Mission Beach or Ocean Beach. It is also just a few minutes from SeaWorld.

Hotel Del Coronado is really nice, but a bit on the expensive side. It is located right on the beach in Coronado and they have the best family beaches in San Diego in my opinion.

Bahia Resort is another one in Mission Bay, but is walking distance from Mission Beach, maybe 3 blocks. They also have beaches on the bay where you can rent sailboats, kayaks, jetskis, etc. You can also rent bikes, Mission Bay park has about 14 miles of paved pathway that is shared by bikers, rollerbladers, and runners. There is also a small amusement park nearby with an old wooden roller coaster called Belmont Park. You will be able to see the coaster from anywhere in Mission Beach.

Once you get near the beach areas there are several more resorts, Catamaran is one that is in Pacific Beach. Pacific Beach is kind of a party area. It is a nice place to go and have something to eat during the day and there is lots of shopping too. But on the nights, especially on the weekends it is a hangout for the college aged crowd, there are 20 or more bars and clubs in a stretch of road that is maybe a mile long.
