Best affordable Hotel to get away for the weekend in San Diego? |
Travel Info Best affordable Hotel to get away for the weekend in San Diego? Travel Tips Depends on what afforadable is to you... if $150 a night is alright, I would check out the Catamaran on Mission Bay. It is a BEAUTIFUL hotel and there are plenty of romantic/and or just fun things to do there! There is a fairie that goes out nightly, i believe friday and saturday night there are bands/a bar on the boat and it takes you around the bay (Which is free to hotel guests/drinks you may have to pay for) and there is a rental place on the bay ran by the Catamaran where you can rent jet skis, sail boats, and a whole bunch of fun stuff! You can also see fireworks nightly from the hotel at about 9PM. Enjoy! Others The Old Town Inn on Pacific Coast Hwy.is great on a budget, starts at about $55, nice rooms, pool, a great free breakfast, check it out on tripadvisor.com, got a real good rating, #4. I've had may friends and family stay there, they all really liked it. LOL, Go to Hotel Circle; the one i went to was "King's Inn". It was reasonable and thats why it's the best, lol. But Hotel Circle has nothing but hotels, hence the name. Agree that the Old Town Inn on Pacific Coast Highway is one of best economical values available in the metro San Diego area. However, I'd recommend a room in the newer section; as most of their rooms in the older original Motel section are small and somewhat outdated. Motels and hotels in the Hotel Circle area are solid choices, but all will be over $65+ a night currently. Stayed at the Old Town Inn on several occasions. nice selection http://www.officialtravelnews.com/... |
