During the drive my check engine light came on.As I had it smogged in San Diego my emissions passed but t hey failed me because I had a check engine light on. I had to pay like 50 bucks to get it fixed and they gave me my smog certificate. Others yeas ,,,,,,,, even from michigan How old is the car? I brought my 2000 Ford from PA to CA and it passed the test. Personal experience Look under the hood and see if there is a sticker that says EPA approved for CA. What year is it? Call CA DMV. It depends on what year the car is, what kind of shape it's in. I moved to CA from NC with 2 cars, my 2001 passed but by 91 didn't. If you have a serious exhaust leak, get it fixed before going. A lot of after market upgrades can cause it not to pass too. |
