Family Attractions/Activities in San Diego and Palm Springs CA? |
Travel Info I am planning a vacation for my sisters and myself to go to Palm Springs CA to visit my Dad. We're also planning on staying a couple of days in San Deigo. In San Diego we already plan to visit Sea World and the Zoo. Any other suggestions? Travel Tips Just got back from Palm Springs. Golf is great. The Zoo is a wonderful experience. There are quaint shops and art galleries in the Palisade's area. My girl friends and I went to the designer out let mall. (about 30 minute drive) It's huge so bring comfy shoes we got fantastic buys on designer clothes at a fraction of what they would be in the retail stores. On the dive there you pass through the windmill energy pass. If you have never seen the windmills they use to create clean energy, it's very interesting sight to see. Went to San Diego last year. Take a drive to the Del Coronado Hotel. We stayed there and it was a really unusual place. The film "Some Like it Hot" with Marylin Monroe was filmed there and it is said to be haunted. It was built around the turn of the century a resort getaway. Worth a drive out to take a tour and a great place for seascape photos. Others You can take the trolly to Tijuana. You should see Coronado beach. Also, don't forget the Gas Lamp District downtown for eating, shopping, and clubbing. |
