Costco has a pack of boxes for an OK price. try the Uhaul store too, they may be pricier but you cna get exactly what you want there.
You can buy used ones from any moving company for much less than new ones.......I used to work at a moving company and we were only tooooooo happy to sell used boxes and they are just as good as the new ones......moving really sucks!!!!!!!.........good luck.
don't buy boxes....go to the liquor store and find our what day their stock is delivered and tell the manager you will come and take all the boxes away for him that day...ask what time would be good for him and take them all. Liquor boxes are VERY sturdy!
Check with your local U-Haul dealer (or other truck rental place) as they normally carry everything you need to conduct your move.

Moving boxes come in several sizes and capacities, do not purchase all of the larger sized boxes thinking you'll save by packing more into them. They will become far too heavy to move and they will not support the weight properly potentially damaging the contents. Make sure to purchase some wardrobe boxes - they allow you to hang your closets right in them and make for great summer/winter storage boxes for years to come.

Here are a few other moving tips -

Do not mix boxes between rooms. Stay with the contents from one room in the same boxes, this will simplify unpacking. Move from room to room and label according to the directions below as you go.

Purchase a spiral binder and write the contents of each box in the binder. Number each box with thick marker on five sides - sides and top -with the corresponding number. When unloading you can refer to the box number and tell the mover which room based on the number. When packing if you went from room to room the numbers will start to group together making it easier to find them later.

When searching for underwear in the next day or two all you need to do is check the notebook for the appropriate box. By posting the number on all flat surfaces with large numbers you can easily spot it from across the room.

Check with your local Burger King or McDonald's restaurant manager for boxes. They will hold them for you instead of breaking them down - if you're willing to pick them up every day. French fry and burger boxes are very strong and will hold upwards of fifty pounds each. Better yet - they're FREE.
I know that Public Storage sells them and am pretty sure that any other storage place will also. These are the places you can get the specality boxes such as the wardrobe or dish boxes.

If you don't care about the size/shape of the boxes you can go down to a lot of the department/grocery stores and ask if they have any boxes. A lot of time they send them back to the company but they might be willing to just give you a few.
Do you live on a military base? Or near Camp Pendleton? Since people move in and out on such a regular basis, that might be a way to find boxes. Barring that, try U-Haul, I know they sell boxes.
