San Diego Family Vacation recommendations? |
Travel Info I am considering a family vacation to San Diego and wanted to get some advice on the best place to rent a house. It is a big group of all generations so it needs to be close to activities for all ages. Grandmother brother in law - no kids brother in law / wife - 4 year old and 1 year old wife and kids - 4 year old and 2 year old There are many sites with houee rentals but I want to search in the best locations. Thanks. Travel Tips You want a south mission beach BAYfront rental from the Cairncrosses realty. Just call them. Make sure you get parking and are not on the alley or mission blvd proper. Phone: (858) 490-1450 Others Be prepared to spend money. San Diego isn't cheap and to make the most of the trip, you have to stay near a beach. It is sooo beautiful down there. I would recommend La Jolla, or Coronado, but they're both very pricey but lots to do there. You'll of course be within an hour of Sea World and the San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park. All great places to visit. Even if you don't stay in Coronado, be sure to stop by and check out the gorgeous hotel Coronado. It has a ton of history and is said to have a woman that haunts a part of the hotel that died there several decades ago. This website will be way more helpful than me. http://www.sandiego.org/nav/visitors... http://local.yahoo.com/results?fr=dd-loc... http://www.vrbo.com/14085 http://www.vrbo.com/25789 http://www.vacationrentalsonline.com/vr/... sea world is the best place dont bother with the wild animal park its a nightmare not worth the money the zoo is really beautiful also You can find reasonably-priced vacation houses for rent in the Pacific Beach and Mission Beach areas. Most of these are right on the beach, or within 2-3 blocks of it, and are less than 30 minutes from Sea World, the San Diego Zoo, Old Town, and great shopping spots. The boardwalk stretches from MB to PB, which does tend to make it a popular spot for locals during the weekends and summer (ie. It gets crowded!) I've had friends and family of different ages stay for about 2 weeks in one of these vacation rentals in PB, and they had a great time. They spent about 1/2 their time on the beach, and the other 1/2 seeing the sights. Hope you enjoy your trip!! Pacific beach or mission beach is good. Do not stay in la jolla or coronado, you might as well buy a house! lol Also probably around balboa park. Anywhere you stay the beach is like 20-30 minutes away driving. I live in SD |
