Travel Info Are the illegals a huge problem there, with it being so close to the border? Is it reasonable? Where are the best communities to live without breaking the bank? Travel Tips Illegal Immigration is a huge problem throughout southern CA impacting many ways including schools and hospitals that is more of a concern then crime. No it is not a reasonably priced place to live. San Diego is facing many issues right now with increasing crime and traffic, fires, pollution etc.. If you are wealthy- you can live a nice family life in San Diego's suburbs. Without Sol Price donating a ton of money to the police department, SDPD would be hugely understaffed. Many many native SD families have taken advantage of the crazy housing market and sold their family homes to leave for other areas. There are so many San Diego families in TX now, realtors have a term for them - imports. I would not move my family to SD if someone gave me a home there now. Other Travel Tips we had friends that used to live in Nebraska but moved to San Diego, they've beel living there for about 2 years, an they have 4 children, they like it no but I will be there in about 12 hours to catch a flight Its expensive and very windy and cold. it depends where you live in san diego. la jolla and del mar no illegals live there. if you live in the poor comunities you have a ton of illegals |
