Any Ideas for visiting San Diego? Good Restaurants? |
Travel Info This is for two adults. Obviously the Zoo. Interested in perhaps seeing an air craft carrier? Also would like to know some good restaurants. Maybe shopping? Leaving this Sunday through next Wednesday. Thanks!!!!! Travel Tips Here's some fun places: ~Old Town ~The Midway Museum (aircraft carrier) ~The Hotel Del Coronado/Coronado Island ~Tijuana (if you dare!) ~La Jolla Cove (lots of upscale shops and restaurants) ~Stephen Birch Aquarium (fun and beautiful photo ops) ~The Gaslamp Quarter (lots of restaurants and clubs) ~Seaport Village (cute shops and views) ~Carlsbad Flower Fields (North S.D., off of Interstate 5) ~Chateau La Rue (Tori Spelling's B & B, in Fallbrook) Source(s): I live in North San Diego county. Other Travel Tips I 2nd the list you've already received. Great suggestions - but just add 1 - If you are wine drinkers, by chance, (even if you aren't) the Temecula wine tours are beautiful. Great suggestions above! Also, for fine dining Donovan's in La Jolla or Mister A's in Downtown San Diego are great choices. Also would recommend the Prado in Balboa Park (the park is a beautiful place for an evening walk, too), and Island Prime which is literally on the water in Harbor Island. Definitely visit Old Town - if nothing else they have some great Mexican food and the best margaritas this side of the border! Hope you have a great time! Seaport Village has cute little touristy type shops and some restaurants. Downtown LaJolla is a good place for upscale shopping. The best mall (my opinion) is Fashion Valley off of Hwy. 8.
