What are some good hikes for San Diego or the San Diego area? Maybe a website even to help? |
Travel Info Im trying to get a medium or maybe hard hike for the San Diego area. Ive been to Cowles mountain but im confused by it...Can anyone provide some info or even a different website with hiking info? Travel Tips tchester.org/sd/hikes.html www.localhikes.com/MSA/MSA_732... www.trails.com/activity.asp?ar... www.co.san-diego.ca.us/parks/h... home.znet.com/schester/fallbro... Here's some websites for you to check. I've hiked a lot in the south county; for something adventurous, you can hike part of the Pacific Crest Trail. The beginning of it is in Campo, CA. Goes through the Laguna Mountains, which themselves are very pretty to hike in. The Cleveland National Forest has tons of marked trails to hike. Watch for rattlesnakes this time of year-they don't bother you much at all; they just rattle to warn you they are there. It's hot out there now-stay hydrated and have a blast! Others Hike to Cedar Falls : http://www.sandiego-romantics.com/hike-c... You can actually hike to a waterfall...but you need to go in spring....the earlier the better. Iron Mtn in Ramona is a great hike. My husband and I used to hike it a lot when we lived in Poway. It's off Rte 67. http://www.localhikes.com/hikes/ironmtn_... Cowls mountain, in Mission Trails is a good one |
