Travel Info Which Hotel is your favorite and sencond favorite in this list, and why? Marriott Hotel and Marina Hilton Gaslamp Hotel Manchester Grand Hyatt Omni Hotel Marriott Gaslamp Quarter Horton Grand Hotel Embassy Suites The Westin Horton Plaza Courtyard by Marriott Westgate Hotel W San Diego Wyndham San Diego at Emerald Plaza Hampton Inn Holiday Inn on the Bay Residence Inn by Marriott Sheraton Suites Radisson Hotel Harbor View Humphrey's Half Moon Inn & Suites Town & Country Hotel Doubletree Hotel San Diego Mission Valley I've never been to San Diego -- Thanks for any advice! Travel Tips Manchester Grand Hyatt and Holiday Inn on the Bay Both hotels have rooms with great views of the bay. However you will pay a lot more for a night at the Manchester Grand Hyatt than the Holiday Inn. The Grand Hyatt is a nicer hotel and it has the bar up at the top that you can sit at and overlook the entire bay at sunset and the lights at night, gorgeous!! Others The hotle my wife and I stayed in every time we went to San Diego was the Hampton Inn close to Mission Bay. It was excellent. Only 5 minutes to Sea World and Mission Bay, and about 7 minutes to Coronado Island. Too bad that across the alley is this giganto-sized strip club. But we never really had a problem. Parking could get kinda crazy on friday night, but we always managed to get by just fine. Hope this helps./ Humphrey's (especially when there are concerts) All the Marriott's except the Residence Inn Horton Grand The Westin The Hotel Del Coronado is the nicest by far. It was built in 1888. The movie Somewhere in Time was filmed there. I live in SD email me if you need a tour guide. [;-) . |
