What is the quickest route to take from La Jolla to the Los Angeles airport(LAX)? |
Travel Info Is there a toll road that is quicker? Travel Tips From La Jolla take I-5 North to I-405 North, you then either go to I-105 West to Sepulvida or continue on the 405 to Century Blvd. If there is no traffic going north on the 405, my preference is to stay on the 405 to Century. If there is traffic take the 105. There is a Toll Road(CA-73) in Orange County that connects the I-5 in San Juan Capistrano to the I-405 in Costa Mesa. It really does not cut off any miles, actually it is about 1 mile that it cuts off. What it does do is cut off time. If you are going anytime during rush hour you can save probably about 20-30 minutes. The cost for the entire length is $4.25 to $4.75 and there is a toll both so you don't need exact change. Others Take I-5 North to I-405 and that's it. Alternate route is to get on to Hwy-73 at exit 85A which is the toll road you're talking about. Driving distance is about 115 miles. Here's link to the mapped route on google: http://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=la+jol... |
