What is there to do in barrio logan san diego? |
Travel Info i am stuck in barrio logan san diego for 2 weeks since my cousin live there. we have to stay around that area for the 2 weeks cuz they get affended if we go places like la jolla and think we're being ungrateful lol! plz what is there to do? are there any malls or movie theaters close by and any stores? last time i went it wuz pretty dead. thanx! Travel Tips Well, there's plenty of strip malls around that area. National City has a bazaar and Plaza Bonita mall (with a theater). Chula Vista has the Chula Vista Center mall, Otay Lakes Town Center, there is a lot of shopping off of the 5 and Palomar. Also, you could go to Imperial Beach or Silver Strand State beach or Coronado Beach. Then there is San Ysidro where you will find Las Americas outlet mall which is on the border of Mexico. There is a drive in theater in Imperial Beach. Source(s): Lived in San Diego. Other Travel Tips Chuys (which is prob. not an option if you're under 21) and the ball park. Sometimes there's fairs going on. There isn't anything to do there, have no idea why they're keeping you around. Not the safest neighborhood but not as bad as some people make it, but still some "bad elements". Just industrial with Nassco and 32nd St Navy base. Just jump on the trolley and go downtown (you could go to Seaport Village or to the movies) or bus it to Balboa Park. Take the trolley all the way to Old Town. Make sure return trip is on blue and not orange line. 903 (or 901, I forget) bus goes to Coronado and Imperial Beach (also stops at Silver Strand State Park, try to get out to the beach at least!) and leaves every half hour. 1.75 each way. Not much to do south of there that's right off the trolley path except San Ysidro and the outlets if you don't go over the border. what about going right across the bridge to Coronado ? Downtown / Gaslamp is right next door to Barrio Logan as well - lots of good things to do in downtown. And Balboa Park / Zoo is right up the street. Barrio Logan is right next to some of the very best things San Diego has to offer. It's really a great area because it is central to so much. La Jolla is over rated - way to much Euro Trash and the beaches are over crowded or full of pompous locals. |
