Less that $100 per night motel/hotel in San Diego? Is it possible? |
Travel Info We are looking for a motel/hotel less than $100 per night in San Diego for the end of July. It must be clean and neat and in a good neighborhood. Was considering the Old Town Inn or Dolphin Inn but I read a few bad reviews about them. We enjoy smaller mom and pop type places but if there are any bigger hotels in that range that's fine too. Thanks, Richie javaandjazz@yahoo.com Travel Tips The Comfort Suites Otay Mesa ( http://www.resideo.com/us/california/san... ) is 90USD per nite for the last weekend of July. Click the link above, choose "Make a Reservation Online", enter your dates and view the rooms/rates -- you can book right online. Have fun! Others Priceline and hotwire. . The father East you go the cheaper the motels/hotels. Drive interstate freeway 8 east towards El Cajon. The closer you get to El Cajon (The Box) the cheaper everything gets. Spend the extra money. East country is hot as heck in July-August, Desert Temps. During summer Cheap hotels are hit and miss ( but mostly miss ) Stay as close as you can to the coast, forget about finding a good Mom and Pop near the ocean that's cheap. If you are willing to share a bathroom, try Point Loma Hosteling international. My husband and I loved it. You still get a private room, and there is a free pancake breakfast every morning. It is very welcoming, but we didn't feel obligated to "hang" with our fellow hostelers. The price was a little under $50.00 per night American I think. |
