I am wanting to move to San Diego, CA... what makes it a great place? Is the rent cheap? |
Travel Info I might be moving to san diego by next year, and I just need to know whats to do for fun over there. I will be coming from Los Angeles. And A biggy, is the rent cheap? I am looking for basically either a house, or apartment with one bedroom. Dont matter the size of house as long as me and my love could live comfortably. Travel Tips sorry the rent is not cheap apts rent is 1300-2000 dollars a month houses rent from 1500-3000 dollars a month good luck living here you need good job were you least make a 100 grand a year to survive san diego Others I think the rents are kinda high, like in the $1,000 a month and up range for apartments. Its a nice place, weather is about like you get in LA. Its a big beach town, people love beach life. The only place to live is La Jolla - that is what makes San Diego great. Live close to the Ocean. The climate is delightful, Balboa Park is fabulous, the downtown is nice, the zoo is outstanding, and it ain't cheap. Get a copy of a San Diego newspaper and check the real estate listings to find out what it will cost to live there. I am surprised that, as close as you are in L.A. you haven't heard about the notoriously expensive housing prices in San Diego. Pay off? You bet, It's totally gorgeous with near perfect weather year round. Neither too hot nor too cold. And beautiful. The trade off is that it can e somewhat crowded, who doesn't want to live in paradise? The reason San Diego is a great place to live, is also the reason the rents are so high. You should expect houses to rent for $1500 and up, while apartments should be about $1200 and up. It's not a cheap city to live in. It's a great city to live in, with plenty to see and do. The weather is considered the best in the nation year round. Cheap rent? You've got to be kidding. If you're coming from LA, it's probably about the same. But it completely depends on how nice/safe of a neighborhood you want to live in. SD's a great place compared to LA, but not *too* different. Less traffic and people are generally more laid-back. |
