Travel Info Whats a good hotel to stay in in san diego? Travel Tips San Diego is a big city with lots of great hotels / motels. Giving you a specific reference would depend on what part of town you would want to be in, but generally speaking, the closed to the Pacific ocean, the more expensive the hotel. Most of the mapping websites (Yahoo, Mapquest, Google, etc.) have a feature that will indicate local items of interest such as lodging. Others Hotel del Coronado, nicest place I've ever stayed in San Diego If you can, I would recommend staying at a beach hotel. (especially if you don't live by the coast). You will find some great beach hotels in Coronado, Pacific Beach, Mission Bay, and LaJolla. 2 of my favorite are Pacific Terrace in Pacific Beach and Hotel Del Coronado.
