What are some things to know before moving to San Diego/Tijuana??? |
Travel Info I already speak Spanish, so what else should I be aware of?? Travel Tips You will get sick of the commute and spending $3.50 per gallon gas to wait in line. Why would you commit to live in Tijuana if you didn't know it well enough to answer this yourself? Few people live in Tijuana and commute unless they have to, by nature of family needs, etc. Others Umm word of advice. Stay in San Diego...dont even bother going to T.J! You will regret it trust me!! Don't...no really, don't TJ is an awful place, miserable in every regard. SD is quite nice however albeit expensive. Did I mention TJ is awful???!!! Plus, crossing the international boarder is a painful long event even for regular commuters. Why would uyou live in TJ and work in San Diego, you'll have to go through border patrol everyday, that doesn't even make sense. Like everyone else said, Tijiuana is horrible. The line to cross for commuting takes forever!!! the chances of getting robbed or raped in Tijiuana are farely decent. you're much better off living in the poorest ghetto in San Diego than living in TJ., if you can't afford better. And if your hispanic it's gonna take even longer sometimes. and if your not you will be a target in TJ. I might be making it worse than it really is but it's way worse than the worst neighborhoods or ghettos in the States. I stayed down there for a couple weeks with a friend before I moved into my place in SD and it was not good at all!! SEE YA later unless you go then maybe see ya nex life time |
