Whats the best family hotel in San Diego? |
Travel Info We've got two adults and three daughters...16, 14, & 7. Thanks Travel Tips You might like something in the Pacific Beach area... there are a few more places/people for your teenagers and there's even an amusement park for the 7 year old. Others When my grandaughter and I went down to go to the zoo we stayed at the best western on hotel row...it was easy access to all the main places, didnt cost an arm and leg had a great pool and was clean. and they gave us discount passes to everything...it was right next to a walgreens too..and all kinds of resturants close...so we could walk to everything...also a hint...take your own water in places..such as the zoo and seaworld...they charge horrible for a small bottle of water... we brought our own and saved lots of money...have fun! hope it helps We stayed at the Ocean Beach Hotel in San Diego. It directly across the street from the beach. Beautiful hotel with a spectacular courtyard. The block that we stayed on was the nightlife. Lots of restaurants (including Hodad's). The only downside was that it wasn't close to Seaworld and the zoo however. Cab fair cost us $25.00 each trip. We were in an area that is commonly referred to as "hippies." However, we seem to miss that or we simply have a different meaning for hippie. If cost is not an issue, try the Coronado Hotel. Also, check out Humphrey's Half Moon Inn (sounds like a dive, but it is actually a nice large beautiful resort). La Jolla Shores is great for younger children. It's right on the beach in La Jolla.
