I'm heading to san diego for 5 nights. wat part is the best place 2 stay? |
Travel Info somewhere close to centre of the nightlife and is there a certain area where the nightlife is best? Travel Tips Nightlife is the best in downtown's Gaslamp District or in Pacific Beach along Garnett Ave. The Gaslamp is more upscale and trendy; dress codes ,expensive covers, and pricey drinks. But the clubs and bars down there are great and some of them are huge too. It's a slightly older more affluent crowd usually. Pacific Beach is a more casual and laid back scene. No dress codes, if there is a cover it's usually $5 or less, and cheaper drinks. It's more of the early to mid 20's, flip flops and boardshorts crowd. Depending on what scene you prefer you should look into a hotel downtown near or in the Gaslamp Quarter or a hotel in Pacific Beach near Garnett Ave. Others I stayed at the Four Points by Sheraton. It's convenient and only a quick drive away from everything. I paid about 100/night and one of the best service and comfortable beds. I loved it I would suggest something in down town near the gaslamp quarter like the Marriot, the Hilton, The Horton Grand Hotel, etc. Have fun! http://deals.hotels.com/hotels-californi...
