Tips for upcoming San Diego Trip? |
Travel Info I will be going to San Diego Sunday to Thursday and will be in business meetings Mon-Thurs of the trip until 5pm. What do you suggest I do for fun & exploration of the city? It will be my 1st visit to San Diego. Thanks for your help! Travel Tips Balboa Park!!! I highly recommend it, the area is known for their museums but they have a restaurant (the Prado) and all the buildings have cool architecture. The botanical garden area is nice. If you go on tuesday some of the museums are free. Hotel Del Coronado- It might be a little pricy but if you cant afford to stay there at least check it out, its pretty cool. Seaport Village- I dont know how to really explain it, I guess the word would be 'quaint' but in a California way. A bunch of little nic nac type of shops, I personally like to go there to just walk around. Other places, Gaslamp (and Petco Park), Little Italy (try some of their gelato its delicious), Del Mar Fair (its called San Diego County Fair now), have fun! Such a great trip, such great weather and it will not be my last visit! ciao, s Definitely check out the Gaslamp Quarter in downtown. There are tons of restaurants, shops, bars, and lounges/clubs. Also, check out the beaches....Coronado is nice and it's where the infamous Hotel del Coronado is located. Have fun! There are several tours around the city. Try signonsandiego.com for info on that and other happens. Have fun. Balboa Park and Downtown (gaslamb) are good areas. Coronado Beach with the Hotel Del is really nice. La Jolla and Del Mar are two great beach towns. |
