Moving from San Diego to Los Angelos...? |
Travel Info and not looking forward to it. Anyone from Los Angelos like living there? Travel Tips You might look forwards to moving to Los Angeles better than Los Angelos. I've never even heard of Los Angelos, but I used to live in Los Angeles and it liked it just fine. Others Yeah but at least you will have more In-N-Outs close by. I lived in LA before I went to school at San Diego State. Best choice I ever made. ive been here all my life and it blows but my familys here so i stay . if you dont know anyone in LA then it really sucks. its massive. buses suck. traffic sucks. scenery (natural and feminine) sucks unless your 3 blocks from the pacific. i suggest you stay there. ive been to gaslamp and loved it. plus in sd your always close to the beach! awwww from those guys's answers LA sounds scary! im going to LA too, for studying. My first choice is San diego, wondering if im making the wrong decision? umm who knows! maybe i might love LA. I think it's really depend on the person right?. (did i really answer ur question?) sorry :p I'll keep my answer short and simple: NO. Okay, now for the not-so-short answer... Unless you're twig-thin, gorgeous, and have plenty of money, you will hate living in Los Angeles. People really are as petty, shallow, and lame as they are portrayed on television. Traffic is AWFUL. Seriously... commuting is so emotionally taxing that you either need to be a zen master or learn to creatively deal with road rage (ie; start listening to heavy metal or hard rock music, if you don't already... and sing along). EVERYTHING is expensive. Like WAY expensive. Moreso than almost anywhere else in the world that I've lived (and yes, I've lived outside of the U.S.)... prepare yourself for sticker shock... especially on rent. Yes, rent IS higher in most areas of Los Angeles than it is in San Diego. Even to live in most ghetto areas of LA, you'd be paying La Jolla prices. I was born & raised in the Los Angeles area and I left as soon as I turned 18. I've been back there, to live, a few times over the last eight years, and I keep moving away again... it's just that awful. The last chance I gave the area, it failed for the last time, so I'm living in San Diego now and couldn't be happier. My advice? Stay in SD... you don't know how good you have it here ;) Personal experience. |
