Travel Info I am going to the San Diego zoo and wild animal park. What are the best things to see? Travel Tips Ironically enough, the San Diego Zoo is known as much for its variety of rare plants through the grounds as for the collection of animals. In addition to the largest collection of pandas outside of China, the zoo has the largest breeding colony of koalas outside of Australia. Some other noteworthy areas include the meerkats, and also the "Monkey Tails and Forest Trails" exhibit. Please note that most of the larger hoofed animals and felines have been moved out to the zoo's Wild Animal Park, near Escondido. For you iPodders out there, the zoo even offers self-guided tours via a series of podcasts that tell about the animals and their habitats. Everything at the zoo and WAP are AWESOME! the animals duh probably the gorillas you should make a day of them both! if possible, try to get a "behind-the-scenes" tour. i live in san diego and i haven't been to the park or zoo for years =( |
