Is it possible to see everything @ the San Diego zoo in 1 day? |
Travel Info I'm planning a trip to San Diego and trying to figure out how many days I should spend there. Travel Tips I've heard the answer is no. Are you going to go to the wild animal park as well? Then you definatly need 2 days. Others I have been there. It is fantastic!! Don't miss out on the pandas. I would say it takes 2 full days - so that you don't try to kill yourself seeing all the exhibits and shows. You want to linger and enjoy yourself. Have fun. You can cover the zoo in One day, but.. your feet will hurt. It's a big zoo in a big park. One day will work, you don't need to see ever single inch of the zoo. 1 day at all the attractions is enough. Try signonsandiego web site for info on Harbor Cruises and stuff going on in town while you're going to be here. Have fun. Legoland is for young kids. No I would plan for at least 2 days for the zoo. There is a LOT to see and it is a lot of walking. In short, the answer is 'yes'. Be sure to arrive as soon as the gates open in the morning and take a bus tour to familiarize yourelf with the lay of the zoo and where specific animal exhibits are. After taking the bus tour, you can take the Skyfair (overhead cable goldola ride) over to the "Horn and Hoof Mesa" to see the larger animals and work your way back toward the front of the zoo -- stopping to see the pandas and other bears along the way. If you get tired of walking, the zoo has a bus that makes stops at various points along the regular tour bus route, so you can hop on from point to point if you already purchased a bus tour ticket for the day.
