Travel Info I am single and make 60,000 a year, can I afford to live in L.A. O.C. or san diego? Travel Tips I can tell you that my husband and I lived in California with 1 child and had another. We were on 1 income (military), and survived. You are making about 40,000 more than we were in 2002 in San Diego (La Mesa). Good luck!! :) Meredith Source(s): Me! :) Other Travel Tips depends what type of house you buy and location. you can get million dollar homes in all of those places and you can get as low as $300,000. it depends whats important to you, being closer to the beach or having a nicer house (or both if you can aford it) Are you trying to find a date, or ask about where to live? depends on how you like to live. If you are planning to rent, or you have proceeds from sale of a house in another city and are considering buying here in Sn Diego, then the answer is "yes". Housing costs vary wildy depending on location. In general, the closer you are to the beach, the more you will pay. The median price of a home here is still over $450,000. If you can afford to rent a place for a year or so until you get established here, that may make it easier to make ends meet. I recently purcahsed a condo in downtown san diego for $350 and I make about $55K a year. I have to manage my money a lil better now, so I have to cut back on the partying in downtown, and i hardly drive my car. gas is a mother in san diego. But I have friends that live in Laguna Hills, but they make about $75K a year, and they seem to do just fine. If you can manage your money, then you should be fine,. |
