Travel Info How old does one need to be to work at a San Diego, or any other California zoo? And, can they be studying for their G.E.D while working? Travel Tips Depends on what job you want to do there. If you just want to work in the ticket booth or in one of the shops...no degree would be required and the age limit would probably be 16 years old. If you want to work with the animals as a zookeeper, you would need a Bachelor of Science degree which takes 4 years of schooling.
