I lived in Poway for 5 years. It is a nice place. My favorite place no longer exists. In Sycamore Canyon Open Space preserve, there used to be a place called Martha's Grove. It was a stand of live oak trees that had a few benches and was so quiet and peaceful. I lived just down the road in a rental house that sits in a citrus orchard. We moved out just before the fire went through there and burned it all. The house and part of the orchard are still there, but I understand the Open Space Preserve was destroyed... |
