What is the best thing to do in san diego fair county? |
Travel Info it's my first time to go to del mar fair. i would like some tips on places to see and to do to make sure i see all the interesting ones. Travel Tips Here is the biggest tip. TRAFFIC!!!!!! If you plan on going at night, traffic North bound five is horrible until 7:30 or 8pm. Then when you get near the fairgrounds it moves slow or just overall congested. Weekends are the worse. So plan on giving yourself at least an extra 30-45 minutes of traffic if you are going peak times. Weekday midafternoon are the best. And if you go during peak times....don't be surprised if you park about a mile away. Now as for things to do, the food of course is the most unique, but bring alot of money. Nothing is cheap. Rides, depends how old you are, can seem to be an invitation to death. Just look at the guys who operate them. Carnies. Good luck and don't try to win stuffed animals, the games are rigged. Others reggae day is always really fun and a good crowd. Not go If you like extreme rides, check out tango, hard rock, and kamikaze (hammerheads). Also, if you go to the fried twinkies place, try out the deep fried coke. It's way better than it sounds. On the south side, there is a huge building with lots of vendors. They have everything from jerky to beds to earings. |
