Travel Info what's your fav beach? the shores has gross sand, torrey pines has icky parking. i dunno!!!!!!! Travel Tips Different people are looking for different things when they go to the beach. Parking can be a problem during the summer when everyone wants to go to the beach. Take a look at the beaches in San Diego by visiting this site:http://www.sandiego-romantics.com/romant... You might give Imperial Beach a try. This beach is usually less crowded than most of the others. The sand must be great because this is where they have the US Open Sandcastle contest every year. Source(s): http://www.sandiego-romantics.com/romant... Other Travel Tips I have been there a number of times but unfortunately the beach was restricted due to run off and pollution at the time. Blacks beach-at least it was years ago-near the college. It was a difficult walk now a steep, narrow dirt path but worth the effort. Too dangerous for most children so I never saw children there. Great for couples and nudists. Buckaneer Beach all the way! It is in oceanside, and it has a snack bar and a parking lot... it is not far off the high way, and has a pretty nice area around it. There is also a park across the street. Good Luck :) It all depends on what you want the beach for. Pacific Beach and Mission are always popular with tourists and locals. Nice beaches lots of kids, adults and teens. La Jolla Cove is smaller and more personal lots of locals (more experienced swimmers) La Jolla shores is great for smaller kids fewer big waves.
