What is a good beach in San Diego for this coming up July 7th weekend? |
Travel Info The Tbone crew "wife and kids" are headed for San Diego for the day July 7th. Looking to tan up this ghostly white skin. ;) I am looking for a good beach that isn't going to be to god blessed busy that weekend being after the 4th. I don't mind people mind you but I do want to be able to get in the water with out jumping over bodies. LOL Last year we went to mission beach which I don't mind going back to if it is the best. Thanks in advance for your advice. Travel Tips I would say either Coronado Beach or the Silver Strand State Beach. http://www.coronadochamber.com/visitor/b... The advantage of Coronado is that the beach itself is probably five times as deep as mission beach but you want to get there early for parking. It is the largest, cleanest beach in san Diego bar none. The silver strand is a stae beach and I believe it now cost seven dollars for a day pass but it too is long and expansive not to mention you can cross under the free way and also go to the bay side. Restroom facilities are convenient and clean In your browser, click on images and type in COronado Beach and then Silver Strand Coronado to see images of the beach to get a good general idea of where you will be visiting Others Try to find something here http://www.weshow.com/us/videos/post/sho... Mission Beach isn't the most family friendly beach if the kids are younger than teenagers and it's always crowded. Torrey Pines, La Jolla Shores, and Coronado are more family friendly and usually less crowded. Up the coast in Encinitas, there is moonlight beach which is one of my favorites |
