What's your opinion of San Diego, CA?

Travel Tips
I lived in San Diego for over 25 years. Like everywhere else, it has its pluses and minuses. Here they are as I see them:

The weather is perfect BUT it is always the same. Not much rain, no snow, no Fall. Just Sunny. It's nice, but after 25 years, we were ready for a change.
It is very, very crowded.
It is very, very expensive.
People are health conscious and beautiful, and after living in other parts of the country, that is very refreshing.
There isn't much as far as greenery and trees, but the beaches are fantastic.

Overall, living there was nice, but for us, it just wasn't were we wanted to live forever. It's great to visit!

I love living here. I was just sitting outside thinking about how much I love this place.
I am from Chicago and have visited San Diego twice. Based on my visits, San Diego has to be one of the most beautiful cities in the U.S., which is bolstered by a gorgeous climate. Beautiful beaches, great restaurants -- it's a great place to visit. The only downside seems to be excessively high property values, which makes buying a new home there very difficult (unless you are fabulously wealthy), and it makes renting an extremely expensive undertaking.
San Diego was and has been a good place to live. I have lived up and down California and by far enjoyed living in SD.
Beatiful........
Crowded. Lots of traffic. Beautiful. Good weather. COnceided people. Diversity. Good shopping and resuraunts.
My husband and I moved here from back east, and it has taken a lot of getting used to. It is amazing to be near the beach, mountains, desert and have lakes and streams all around, and we love the weather, although the last two years have been VERY hot in the summertime, but I have never met so many rude people in my life, and I don't think that very many Sand Diegans know what a proper work ethic is. There are a lot of places that close between 5 and 6 on a weekday, and are not open on the weekends, which is unheard of back home. Please don't think that EVERYONE here is rude, but there are a good many people that have left me with my mouth hanging open in wonder.
