Travel Info What are some fun things to do that are free in San Diego? Travel Tips One of my favorite things that is free is having a beach bonfire. Other fun things: hiking , watch the sunset, biking along the coast, enjoying the view from the top of Mt. Helix or Mt. Soledad, exploring Balboa or Presidio Park, relaxing on the beach. On Tuesdays Balboa Park will rotate which museum is free. The Botanical Building is always free....the outdoor gardens are free. Palm Canyon is a beautiful place to walk. You can go to the beach. . .you can hike in the mountains. . .you can watch people spend money doing fun things. . . I live in San Diego Aside of our beautiful beaches, (that's a given), on Tuesdays, go to Balboa Park. Depending which Tuesday of the month it is, some of the major museums offer free admission for the day. Natural History; Museum of Art; Air and Space; Hall of Champions...just to name a few. Of course, that's if it's not your thing, or it's not a Tuesday, or you are not in San Diego on Tuesday, (I'll assume you're visiting?), You can just chill and check out the park and some of the street entertainment; people watch; take a ride around the park's trolley (free); enjoy the botanical garden and it's pond; picnic; lay out and get some sun are free to do there. Balboa Park is one of my favorite places in the city. I have provided links to some of the many free things in San Diego. Have fun. I love San Diego. |
