Mission bay rv resort? |
Travel Info what can u say about staying at mission bay rv resort coz were planning to go out camp this august Travel Tips They seem to cater to the over 55 crowd, and won't let any RV in over 10 years old without inspecting it to see if meet their standards. They completely refurbished the resort about 2 years ago. The park is fairly close to I-5, so you can hear the freeway traffic if you're on the east side of the park. The concensus of most people is Campland is a better place to go,although you're chances are better getting reservations there than at Campland, they usually sell out in summer months in advance. There's also a nice campground in Chula Vista that's located on the south end of San Diego Bay that not a lot of people are aware of. Others My inlaws stay there every Summer and like it. Great location!!! Campland on the Bay in Mission Bay is the way to go. They are great. They are central to downtown, Seaworld, SD Zo/Balboa Park, Coronado, Old Town, plus they are on the water, so you can rent waverunners etc. They are very clean, great bathrooms, and of course complete hookups. Great for kids and adults. Totally fun area to camp! http://www.campingfriend.com/camplandont... We stayed there years ago and hated it. We got a spot on the asphalt, no shade, no fun. There was a tiny place we could take out dog, lots of restrictions where we couldn't. I just read the rules on their website, it's just a snooty place. Campland on the bay across the water is more fun. |
