Is San Francisco a great place to live and make a living? |
Travel Info I always been fascinated by the city because it seems charming, fun, and a wonderful place to live and work after college. Travel Tips California's a great place if you're looking to work in tech and computers, the environment, or would like to focus on Asian studies. That's not to say there aren't other opportunities, these are just some of the few you can find in California and the SF Bay Area. The city is extremely liberal, so if you're conservative be prepared for differences in opinion. It's also exceptionally expensive to live in, so be sure you can get a job to sustain yourself. With the new year, though, the minimum wage has gone up to $7.50 (big whoop :P). You don't say what you're looking to do, but I strongly advise you to research areas that interest you to see if there's a field that has an office in the Bay Area. If not, you can always get an internship for the summer or go on a road trip. Good luck! Others it's a beautiful place indeed, but also very expensive. average house price $700, 000. not very good area. so if you can make the money, come. YEA!! SURE, IF you make a REALLY GOOD living!!!! |
