What are the cheapest and good colleges in San Francisco for Nursing? |
Travel Info What are the cheapest and good colleges in San Francisco for Nursing? Travel Tips Solano Community College in Fairfield. The wait list is a few years long though, as it is at most colleges. Source(s): Sitting on one of those damn waiting lists right now =[ Other Travel Tips I can't tell you about cheapest and best in SF, but if you go over to Modesto, you will find great classes through Modesto Junior College. Merced Junior College also has a great program. Modesto Memorial Hospital also has programs where they will pay for your schooling if you are working there, so there is another option for you. Other than that, check with the local community colleges there. They will offer pretty much the same programs and at the same rates at those in Modesto. USF has an amazing program, costly though. But while I didn't go through that program, I hear that they offer great financial aid packages. http://www.usfca.edu If you are a San Francisco resident or obtain San Francisco residency "City College" ( San Francisco's commnity college) has an excellent nursing program that is so ridiculously inexpensive that your textbooks will probably cost you more than the classes. As an international student, your type of visa may determine what is needed to be considered a San Francisco resident (and to therefore qualify for resident tuition). I work in health care in San Francisco and know many nurses who have gone through this program and were happy with their training.
