Monterey Aquarium?

My husband and I are thinking of spending Valentine's Day in Monterey, CA. We're also planning on visiting the aquarium. I'm trying to decide which hotel to stay at and since I've never been there, I'd like to know if any of you have preferences and/or opinions. Hopefully a hotel that's under $250 a night. Also, I know many hotels have hotel/aquarium packages. Any info would be a big help. Thanks!

Just get a room near cannery row. thats where the aquariun is at. Do you have aaa? Go there and they will set you up. I love that place, been there twice.

The Marriott hotel is in the heart of the city... that would be my preferrence, but there are a lot of bed and breakfast places to stay that are very charming.. One of my favorite places to eat and is quite beautiful is Clint Eastwood's restaurant..... I forget the name...something ranch and is located in Carmel. Another romantic place to eat is the Bath House.

Enjoy Monterey. It was one of the best places we ever lived.
I've stayed at the Monterey Plaza and Spa on Cannery Row. Right now they have a special called bayside breakfast and it is going on until March 31, 2006. It includes breakfast overlooking the ocean.

Hopefully, you will find one. There is also a spa there where you can do manicures, pedicures, get all dolled up for Valentines!!
Try Marriott Hotel its really nice.
The aquarium is really stunning :] I've been there about 20 times and it still never gets old. Go to the Monterey Beach, the scenery is so pretty there.
